With nearly 20 years of experience in the real estate development industry, Afshin Etebar is responsible for the management and oversight of all of the various company’s endeavors. Specifically he oversees the management of income properties, property acquisition, land entitlement and financing for the company’s complex multi-use, residential and commercial developments. Mr. Etebar is also responsible for strategic planning and business development, corporate governance, project execution, sales and marketing.
Bob Etebar - Vice President
Having joined the etco team in 1994, Bob Etebar assists in acquisitions, design and development of all properties, is responsible for day to day operations and oversees accounting, sales and marketing, purchasing, construction management and customer service. He is also Co-Managing Member/Director of etco Investments, LLC handling acquisition, design, development and property management of several commercial real estate assets in Orange County, Inland Empire and Los Angeles Country. Bob Etebar received a bachelor’s degree in business from University of Arizona.
Roger D. Hatch - Division President, Southern California
With over 20 years experience in land development and home construction, Mr. Hatch is responsible for the day to day operations of etco’s growing number of communities in Southern California. Mr. Hatch manages business models, proformas, land acquisition, sales and marketing. Under his direction the division is developing a range of products from high-end urban mid-rise to entry-level to luxury detached and attached to urban in-fill mixed-use. During his tenure with Centex Homes, D.R. Horton Homes and Richmond American Homes, Mr. Hatch honed his extensive management entitlement background and established a track record of overseeing the construction and entitlement of thousands of homes. Mr. Hatch is a member of the Board of Directors of the Building Industry Association, a member of California Council of Civil Engineer and Land Surveyors, the California Council of General Contractors and has a General Contractors License –“B.”
Alan Hearne - Controller, Finance & Administration
Bringing over 18 years of building industry financial experience, Alan Hearne joined etco in 2004. With a working knowledge in the Community Development and Reinvestment sector, Alan Hearne is responsible for the organization’s financial reporting and structuring, development and construction loan administration, forecasting, human resources, lender / investor relations, insurance, tax planning and audit preparation as well as MIS. Mr. Hearne also provides ongoing support and joint supervision for a number of other corporate business ventures including those of the company’s income generating properties. Mr. Hearne received a bachelor’s degree in business from Western Washington State University.
Steve Schapel - Director, Land Development
With over 30 years in civil engineering, Steve Schapel joined etco in 2003. Assisting in the overall planning, design and entitlement of etco’s development projects, Mr. Schapel is responsible for working with local, state and federal governmental agencies to assure sound, environmentally safe developments. Mr. Schapel collaborates with a variety of consulting engineers and architects to ensure that etco fulfills the concerns of policymakers and communities. Prior to joining the etco team, he had Co-Founded K.W. Lawler & Associates and SP Consultants. Mr. Schapel received a bachelors in civil engineering from the Drexel Institute of Technology in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Erik Sie - Director of Construction
Having joined etco homes in 1999, Mr. Sie is responsible for management, supervision and ongoing support of field supervisors as well as the company’s regional area managers. Mr. Sie oversees set up and closeout of site resources, scheduling and production planning for residential and commercial developments, and quality assurance guidelines. Mr. Sie also assists with the management of purchasing, contract administration and customer service. Mr. Sie holds a Contractor’s License and received a Certificate of Achievement in Building Inspection Technology from Coastline Community College.
